Keep these injection codes off of your chemo admin claims National Correct Coding Initiative edits, version 13.1, ended incorrect reporting of intralesional injections along with chemotherapy. Here's a quick rundown of the codes CMS wants you to think twice about reporting together. Note: Each of these edits has a modifier indicator of 1, meaning that you may override the edit with a modifier and report the two codes on the same date for the same patient when the services are truly distinct. For example, they may be performed at different encounters or on separate anatomic sites
