Now that you’ve reviewed our sample note on page 28, check out these coding quiz answers to see how you fared.

1. To code the malignant melanoma of the lip, you’d report C43.0 (Malignant melanoma of lip).

2. The benign neoplasm of the right breast would be reported with D24.1 (Benign neoplasm of right breast).

3. To report carcinoma in situ of the bladder, you’ll submit D09.0 (Carcinoma in situ of bladder).

4. You’ll turn to the “Z” codes here, reporting Z51.11 (Encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy).

5. Here you’ll report C53.0 (Malignant neoplasm of endocervix) to describe the cancer.
