Delete Q3013 from Your HCPCS Books

The AMA on Feb. 4, 2002, issued corrections to HCPCS 2002 including the deletion of Q3013 (Injection, verteporfin, 15 mg) which was used to report Visudyne (generic name verteporfin). Instead of Q3013, use new code J3395 (Injection, verteporfin, 15 mg).

Visudyne is used with photodynamic therapy (67221, Destruction of localized lesion of choroid [e.g., choroidal neovascularization]; photodynamic therapy [includes intravenous infusion]).
