New NCCI Edits Bundle

Reference these new ophthalmologybundles to ensure clean claims The National Correct Coding Initiative has released the following ophthalmology-related bundles effective Jan. 1 through March 31, 2004.
 
These edits are an attempt by NCCI to "catch up" with the new 2004 CPT codes. These bundles indicate that intravenous injections, catheters and anesthesia are bundled into the new procedure codes.
 
Use this quick key for easy access to the latest changes involving comprehensive codes 65780 (Ocular surface reconstruction; amniotic membrane transplantation), 65781 (Ocular surface reconstruction; limbal stem cell allograft [e.g., cadaveric or living donor]), 65782 (Ocular surface reconstruction; limbal conjunctival autograft [includes obtaining graft]), and new patient E/M codes 99202 and 99203 (Office or other outpatient visit for the evaluation and management of a new patient ...).
