Question: Should I bill for corneal scrapings (65430) for each ulcer? Ohio Subscriber Answer: No. Bill 65430* (Scraping of cornea, diagnostic, for smear and/or culture) per cornea. Append modifier -50 (Bilateral procedure) if done on both eyes because this is a per-eye code.
