The diagnosis code set expands nearly fourfold with H43 series.

As coders nationwide have found out since ICD-10 was announced, diagnosis coding under the new system can be a lot more complex than under ICD-10. The rubber has really met the road in the past couple of months after ICD-10’s official implementation on Oct. 1.

In ICD-9, the codes for vitreous disorder diagnoses are found in the 379.2x series. As we’ve seen with many other ICD-10 code sets, the new diagnosis codes expand the codes by adding specificity.
