Question: How would you code a steroid injection directly into a nasal polyp? Michigan Subscriber Answer: Unfortunately, no code specifically describes a nasal injection. Youll have to go with 30999 (Unlisted procedure, nose). Help your insurer: Look for a similar code to compare the procedure to. Never leave it up to the payer to decide what your procedure is like. For instance, you might compare the nasal injection to 64613 (Chemodenervation of muscle[s]; neck muscle[s] [e.g., for spasmodic torticollis, spasmodic dysphonia]).
