CMS Proposes Adding Additional Exemptions to Help You Avoid EHR Penalty

As Part B Insider was going to press, CMS released a new proposal that would allow exemptions from the e-prescribing penalty in 2012 for certain practitioners, such as those who prescribe very infrequently, among others. The proposal is available to view at www.ofr.gov/OFRUpload/OFRData/2011-13463_PI.pdf , and the Insider will have a full breakdown of the proposal in next week's issue.
