Some specialties will receive a much bigger knock than the 4.5 percent cut that affects Medicare physicians across the board. Orthopedic surgeons, pulmonologists, hand surgeons and allergists/immunologists will see a cut of 6 to 7 percent. And a number of other specialties will see a 5 percent cut instead just a 4.5 percent cut.
