Fight Against Edits Continues

With the vast majority of CCI Edits this time around targeting a mere 16 testing codes (See "8,000 Edits Hit 16 Testing Codes Hard") one provider organization is fighting for changes.
The American Academy of Otolaryngology fought against the 8,000+ edits that hit several neurological testing codes, but policymakers believed that the monitoring was incidental and included in the payments for the comprehensive procedures. But the AAO will continue to fight to overturn these bundling edits, says Barbara Cobuzzi, president of Cash Flow Solutions in Brick, NJ.
