The OIG is offering free half-day compliance training sessions in six cities -- Houston, Tampa, Kansas City, Baton Rouge, Denver, and Washington, D.C. The Houston session kicked off the program on Feb. 16 and the last session is in D.C. on May 18. But if you missed signing up for these training seminars, it's too late.

"Due to the high number of responses we have received, we are no longer accepting requests for enrollment at this time," the OIG says in a message to providers about the series of training sessions held in six cities across the nation.

If you already registered, that doesn't mean you're guaranteed a spot either. "We are working to confirm registrations for current requests, and we will send out registration confirmation emails as soon as we can," the OIG says.

Opportunity: The OIG does plan to furnish a webcast of the May 18 Washington, D.C. training session, however. "If we are unable to accommodate you at an in-person training, you will be able to view the training at that time," the OIG assures providers.
