One carrier took April Fools' Day a little too far this year, it now admits.
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Montana accidentally reimbursed all items in the 2003 Physician Fee Schedule at just $3.69 per code on April 1 and 2, the carrier admits. It's fixed the problem and will take corrective action on all affected claims.
