Submit Your MIPS 2018 Data Before It's Too Late

If you haven’t submitted your Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) data for performance year (PY) 2018, there’s still time. But, beware — the deadline is fast approaching. The PY 2018 MIPS submission window close on April 2, 2019 at 8 p.m. EST, according to Quality Payment Program (QPP) guidance. Tip: After reviewing your PY 2018 data submission, MIPS clinicians can expect “feedback” by July 1, 2019 to “improve your care and optimize the payments you receive from CMS,” explains the agency. It’s also a good idea to review the various MIPS resources available through the QPP resources library. On Feb. 15, CMS updated its PY 2018 frequently-asked-questions set, which offers great advice on the who, what, when, where, and why of quality submissions. You can find the FAQ at https://qpp.cms.gov/about/resource-library. Remember: The CMS Web Interface submission period ends on March 22, 2019 at 8 p.m. EDT.
