Use Social Media for Emergency Updates with Care

Does social media benefit your ED team? ASPR-TRACIE wants to hear about it.

New guidance from the feds suggest social media can be a valuable and essential resource for communication during and after man-made and natural disasters.

The HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response's Technical Resources, Assistance Center, and Information Exchange (ASPR-TRACIE) has compiled numerous resources to address the use of social media for emergency response. The department offers advice on what has worked for emergency personnel nationwide - and what has not. ASPR-TRACIE is also asking providers, healthcare workers, and emergency responders to share positive experiences from their departments.
