CPT lists cervical or vaginal cytology tests in an interrupted code series from 88141-88175. We-ve rearranged the codes in the following table to help you unscramble their meaning and help you pick the right code -- every time. Clarify this: The table further simplifies Pap coding by removing other procedure codes, such as touch preps (88160-88162) and fine needle aspirations (FNAs) (88172-88173), that intervene in the CPT Pap series.
