Follow Medicare Pricing to See How You'll Fare in 2013

Use this handy table to get a jump on new CPT 2013 Codes and their recommended Medicare payment amounts for your lab. CMS invited payment recommendations for nearly 40 new codes at the annual Clinical Laboratory Fee Schedule (CLFS) public meeting held July 16, according to conference coordinator Glenn McGuirk. With those comments in mind, CMS issued a preliminary payment determination on Aug. 31, which you can find at www.cms.gov/ClinicalLabFeeSched/. CMS will post final payment determinations on the same Website in early Nov.
