Welcome 15 New Specific Codes for Up-and-Coming Diagnostic Tests

Handy table lists new clinical laboratory test codes. From a marker for ovarian cancer to a specific test for Clostridium difficile, toxin gene(s), you'll have the inside scoop on upcoming changes, thanks to this guide. CMS recently posted the new lab test codes for CY 2010 as part of the clinical laboratory fee schedule pricing process, with preliminary codes that the AMA made available. The final CPT numbers are not currently available; X's represent unassigned digits. Make sure you're ready for the code changes outlined in the following table.
