Question: What’s the correct way to bill Bicillin, and how many units should we report?

Answer: You should report J0558 (Injection, penicillin g benzathine and penicillin g procaine, 100,000 units) for this drug. You’ll report one unit for every 100,000 units that the pediatrician administers.
Therefore, if you administer 600,000 units, you will report six units of J0558. If you give the patient 1.2 million units, you’ll report 12 units of J0558 instead.
