Glitch May Short HHAs For Therapy Visits Furnished

A claims glitch means you may not be getting your full reimbursement for therapy, but a correction is now scheduled.
Problem: “Home Health claims (type of bill 32X) received after January 1, 2015, that indicate more therapy visits were provided than what was indicated by the HIPPS code, are not being recoded by FISS,” Home Health & Hospice Medicare Administrative Contractor CGS says. “Claims are being inappropriately Returned to Provider (RTP) (T B9997) with reason code 37224.”
Solution: “CMS is providing a new Pricer package to resolve this issue,” CGS says. The new Pricer is now scheduled for April 6
