Think you can let your coding and documentation slide for your Workers' Compensation cases? Think again. For a couple months now, the Federal Workers'' Compensation Act has required that hysical therapy authorization requests include physical therapy procedure codes, along with frequency, duration, and units for each code, according to a brief from PT Bulletin Online. You can access an updated physical therapy authorization request form on the "ACS Web Bill Processing Portal" at http://owcp.dol.acs-inc.com/portal/main.do. When you arrive at the page, click on "Forms and Links," then select "Federal Employees' Compensation Act," and you'll find the form under Claim Forms and Instructions.
