National Home Care Association Tunes In to Rehab

The National Association for Home Care & Hospice has approved a new committee to focus on the rehab side of home health and hospice, according to the association's online member newsletter. The NAHC Therapy Advisory Committee has seven members, each appointed for one year.

The committee's goal is to establish "a collaborative networking opportunity for all three disciplines in home health." The committee will also offer input on regulatory issues; review therapy-related submissions for NAHC programming; provide content for NAHC Report and Caring Magazine; and keep NAHC informed of changes impacting therapy services from the American Physical Therapy Association, American Occupational Therapy Association, and American Speech-Language-Hearing Association perspectives.

Committee appointees for 2009 are: Jane Bernatovich of Home Health United, Janet Brown of ASHA, Arnie Burchianti of Celtic Healthcare, Cindy Krafft of Fazzi Associates, Craig Moore of the Home Health Section of the APTA, Lisa Sholts of OSF Saint Anthony Home Health, Carol Siebert of Duke Community Health Network, and Karen Vance of BKD.
