Salaries: HCS Digs Into Rehab Providers' Compensation

Oakland, N.J. -- If you've wanted a benchmark for what you and your rehab colleagues are making, you may be in luck. Healthcare Compensation Services (HCS) announced Sept. 18 that it has just published its first annual edition of the Rehabilitation Compensation Report. Peoplefirst, Sun Healthcare Group and Heartland Rehabilitation Services sponsored the study, according to a press release.

The report covers rehab jobs in 284 hospitals and 1,932 long-term care facilities, with job titles including Regional Director of Rehabilitation, Area Director of Rehabilitation, Director of Rehabilitation Development, Director of Rehabilitation, Rehabilitation Manager, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Physical Therapy Assistant.

The data: The HCS report includes actual salary/hourly rates, bonuses, and per diem rates, as well as benefits, and separates the data by city, state, and region.
