WhiteGlove is a company that allows its customers and their families to schedule medical visits for minor illnesses at home or work between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., seven days a week. While people don't need to have insurance coverage to use WhiteGlove's services, Aetna and UnitedHealthcare have both signed on to offer WhiteGlove house call services in Texas. The agreement will allow Aetna and UHC members in Texas an alternative to going to the doctor's office for minor issues. Plus, according to an Aetna press release, "members will receive most of the generic medications prescribed during the visit and a well-kit of foods, beverages and over-the-counter remedies -- all for only the cost of a member's specialist copay, co-insurance, or deductible."
