Get Ready For Hundreds Of New Dx Codes

2007 list of diagnosis codes not final

You-ll have to get used to a lot of new diagnosis codes this fall, because the 2007 version of ICD-9 features over 200 added codes to describe your patients- symptoms. 

Ingenix has released a preliminary list of the 2007 codes, but there will be more new diagnosis codes released in the official addenda. According to the release, ICD-9 2007 features:

- 204 new diagnosis codes
- 55 revised diagnosis codes
- 28 invalid diagnosis codes
- 36 new procedure codes
- 8 revised procedure codes
- 4 invalid procedure codes.
