Texas Subscriber

Answer: NPI stands for National Provider Identifier and is a 10-digit number required on all HIPAA-standard electronic transmissions and is used for identification purposes. TIN stands for Tax Identification Number and is required on all claims, as it’s used for tax purposes. Many carriers will reject claims without a TIN.
