Question: What code do I use for therapeutic adjustment to tracheotomy size (a tube change)?

Answer: Tube changes performed after the establishment of a fistula tract are billed with the appropriate E/M service. This would include changing blocked tubes or exchanging existing tubes for a different, more effective size.
