Question: If we performed AP, lateral, flexion, extension, bilateral oblique, and spot L5-S1 views, lumbar spine X-ray, then can we charge 72114?Codify MemberAnswer: You should be able to report 72114 (Radiologic examination, spine, lumbosacral; complete, including bending views, minimum of 6 views) for the views you indicate. The code requires a minimum of six views, which you meet, as well as bending views. Flexion and extension are bending views. Flexion refers to bending forward, and extension refers to bending backward.
