Question: A patient underwent a transurethral incision of the prostate with a transurethral resection biopsy of the prostatic urethra. How would I report that procedure?Indiana SubscriberAnswer: You should first report 52450 (Transurethral incision of prostate) for the transurethral incision of the prostate (TUIP). Next, report 52204 (Cystourethroscopy, with biopsy[s]) for the transurethral resection (TUR) biopsy of the prostatic urethra.
