Question: How should I code an extravesical ureteroneocystostomy the urologist performed laparoscopically with robotic assistance?

Answer: Report 50947 (Laparoscopy, surgical; ureteroneocystostomy with cystoscopy and ureteral stent placement) or 50948 (... ureteroneocystostomy without cystoscopy and ureteral stent placement), depending on whether or not your urologist performed a cystoscopy and placed a ureteral stent during the procedure. The robotic assistance is included in either code.
