Good morning,

I have a question about coding to an auto insurance for a patient of ours transportation. We have a few patients that ever since their accident they CANNOT drive, so we pay out of pocket for these services for the patient. Isn't there a way for the auto insurance company to pick up these services. Please Help..

Thank you.:)

Since this is an auto accident does your state have no-fault or personal injury protection laws? In NY a no-fault carrier can pay up to $25 per day for other necessary expenses which could include transportation fees to and from a medical provider for accident related services.

This of course would be determined by your local jurisdictions insurance laws.
