may a pediatrician bill for time for court testifying and preparation if it involves communication with guardian, medical neglect, care coordiantion/plan as telemedicine if guardian is aware?
You can't bill insurance for testifying in court.
Court testimony is not a medical service. You can only bill insurance for medical services. What CPT code does the doctor think you could use?thank you so much. Do you know where I would find the documentation to back this up to show the physician?
Your physician should get in touch with the attorney who is handling the case and they should be able to tell him/her how and where to submit an invoice for their services so that they can be compensated for time spent related to the case. Usually the lawyers' offices will handle the costs of a physician's required involvement in a court case.thank you so much. Do you know where I would find the documentation to back this up to show the physician?
