She has been actively involved with physician coding and documentation requirements, overcharge monitoring, physician compliance programs, and the design of commercial insurer overpayment recovery systems. Stephanie has been a member of the AAPC and a CPC since 1997 and actively involved with physician coding and documentation requirements since 1995. An expert in her field, she developed the core curriculum for the diploma granting Insurance Coding Specialist program, the first of its kind to be approved by the State of Florida in post-secondary, college education. Stephanie has worked closely with national plans including Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Humana, Inc., and in various advisory positions within the industry including Consulting Editor for The Coding Institute’s "Compliance Alert" and on the Coding Institute’s/Eli Research's Editorial Board for the "Medical Office Billing and Collections Alert."
