READER QUESTIONS:

Determine Units by Dosage

Question: If we're supposed to report J1245 per 10-unit increment and the technician injects 31.1 mg of Persantine, should we report three units or four units?

Texas Subscriber

Answer: You should round up to the next unit, because you won't find any mechanism in place for reporting only partial units. In other words, you should report four units of J1245 (Injection, dipyridamole, per 10 mg).
