Acquisitions Heat Up In HHA Market

• Other home care companies have been busy on the acquisition trail as well.             Long-term care company Kindred Health-care's subsidiaries plan to purchase Signature Health Services in Ohio. Signature operates 10 home care locations primarily in the central and northeastern regions of Ohio, Louisville, Ky.-based Kindred says in a release. Kindred already furnishes hospice services in the state and has 11 long-term care facilities in Signature's operating area. Signature has about $13.4 million in revenues.             "We are excited to continue our growth into the home care business," Kindred CEO Paul Diaz says. "This transaction provides us with a great opportunity to expand our home health operations."            And: Accurate Home Care in Elk River, Minn. has purchased A Plus Home Health Care with locations in Moline and Peoria, Ill.
