HHAs that furnish outpatient therapy

HHAs that furnish outpatient therapy in the home should keep an eye on therapy caps exceptions. Caps on outpatient therapy will rise to $1,870 in 2011, CMS says in MLN Matters Article 7107. Congress has not yet approved extending the therapy caps exception process to 2011, notes the American Occupational Therapy Association. The current exceptions process expires Dec. 31.
