If you're having trouble billing for Fluzone, it's probably not your fault. "Home health providers cannot bill [CPT code 90662 (Fluzone)] on type of bill (TOB) 34X," regional home health intermediary NHIC says in a message to providers. "If this code is entered on a TOB 34X, reason code 32408 will be received." Providers can't submit the code on a roster bill, but can submit it on a separate claim, NHIC explains. "There is no anticipated date on which this code will be corrected," the intermediary says. "Until this is fixed, providers should bill for this code on a separate claim."
