Check OIG Excluded List Or Risk Whopping Penalty

Don't forget to check your employees against the OIG's exclusion list. In November, Long Term Care Inc. in North Carolina agreed to pay $170,000 in civil monetary penalties for employing an individual excluded from participation in federal healthcare programs, the HHS Office of Inspector General says in a new post to its website. You can search the OIG's list at http://oig.hhs.gov/fraud/exclusions.asp.
