Industry Notes:

Consider These Website Changes To Capture Business

If your website doesn't currently emphasize your experience and staff credentials, you  may want to consider a change. "When looking online for a ... healthcare provider, consumers want information about credentials and experience above everything else," says online marketing specialist WebVisible. In a survey of 1,000 Americans, 66 percent said details about credentials and experience would be the top factor in helping them pick a health care provider when conducting an online search. "The higher the income the more people care about credentials and experience," notes Los Angles-based WebVisible. In the survey conducted with Chicago market researcher Synovate eNation, "57 percent of those earning under $25k said it's important, while that number jumps to 71 percent and 70 percent respectively for the two highest income categories ($50k-$75k and $75k+)." The second-highest ranked factor was a personal referral. The lowest ranked choices were customer testimonials.
