contractor has added to the list of diagnosis codes that are causing delays for some claims, reports RHHI Cahaba GBA. Originally, codes 724.02, 646.30, 646.31, 789.00, 786.50, and V078 were found to be invalid in FISS, thus causing claims to be returned or rejected. Now the full code list includes 307.0, 629.81, 646.33, E017.0, V07.51, V07.52, V07.59, V07.8, V07.9, V13.61, V13.69, V26.35, Cahaba reports. CMS will provide a new ICD-9-CM file that will correct this issue, the intermediary says. Cahaba expects the new file to go in Nov. 8.
