For-Profit Chain Finalizes Joint Venture, Includes 10 Hospice Locations

LHC Group Inc. and Brentwood, Tenn. based LifePoint Health have finalized the formation of a joint venture that will operate LifePoint’s home health agencies and hospices, as well as running select LHC Group agencies located near LifePoint hospitals, LHC says in a release. The deal covers 20 HHAs and 10 hospice locations, reports The Advocate newspaper.
Across 26 states, LHC operates more than 289 home health services locations, 64 hospice locations, 11 community-based service locations and six LTACHs with eight locations, the Lafayette, La.-based chain says.
