Regional Chain Acquires Hospices In Ohio, Kansas

Jackson, Mich.-based Great Lakes Caring Home Health and Hospice has purchased Grace Hospice with locations in Topeka, Kan., and Kansas City, Mo., reports The Topeka Capital-Journal. The Topeka hospice was formerly Heart of America Hospice. Great Lakes Caring also bought the Toledo-area assets of Kindred at Home for home care and hospice, reports MLive.com. Great Lakes Caring has 26 locations in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Kansas, Missouri and Massachusetts, the website says.
