HOPE Tool Continues To Proceed

Hospice Outcomes & Patient Evaluation (HOPE) assessment tool testing appears to still be on track. Reminder: Back in September, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services issued the names of the 20 hospices that are alpha testing the HOPE tool this fall. That testing is underway and should wrap up by the end of January, a CMS official said in the Dec. 16 Open Door Forum for home health and hospice providers. In its Nov. 4 Open Door Forum, CMS said it planned to share analysis from the testing “later in the spring.”
