It's Business As Usual Again For Hospice Cap Assessments

Hospices' vacation from cap-related overpayments is over. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has sent a directive to HHH Medicare Administrative Contractors to resume calculating hospice cap amounts and assessing overpayments when applicable, reports the National Association for Home Care & Hospice. CMS also told MACs to inform hospices about the cap calculation methodology, and several contractors already have done so. For example:
