MAC Offers Advice On Hospice POC Denials

If you’re receiving claims denials related to the hospice plan of care, you’re not alone. HHH Medicare Administrative Contractor CGS has issued a fact sheet about hospice POCs to help hospices avoid just such denials.
For example: When you receive an additional development request (ADR), “all plans of care covering the dates of service under review must be submitted,” CGS says in the fact sheet. “This may include a plan of care meeting that was held prior to the dates of service under review.”
