OIG Encourages Anonymous Fraud Reporting

Whistleblower lawsuits are costing hospice providers big. But disgruntled employees don’t have to resort to a lengthy and uncertain legal process to air their grievances against you. The HHS Office of Inspector General is advertising its anonymous mechanism for reporting Medicare fraud. “Help protect the Medicare Program and your patients,” the OIG says in a message to providers. The OIG refers providers to its YouTube video on reporting fraud online at www.youtube.com/watch?v=nH7p30j7dOw.
