Collaborative effort yields helpful resource for implementing QAPI.
If you’re struggling with your Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts, take heart — the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has a new tool that can make your job much easier.
On Feb. 20, CMS published a Process Tool Framework, which contains “process tools” to implement and apply the basic principles of QAPI. The tool crosswalks each CMS Process Tool to the QAPI Five Elements.
