Question: Can we bill 64708 (Neuroplasty, major peripheral nerve, arm or leg; other than specified) and 64727 (Internal neurolysis, requiring use of operating microscope [list separately in addition to code for neuroplasty] [neuroplasty includes external neurolysis]) times 3 to describe work done on the different branches of a single nerve?Answer: Similar to the single use of the microdissection code 69990 for utilizing the operating microscope for microdissection of one or more structures, you would apply code 64727 once, regardless of the number of branches undergoing internal neurolysis.
