Count Down to V76.44 Coverage

CMS considers prostate screening pay  Good news: When it comes to prostate screenings, covered ICD-9 codes may finally be catching up to covered services. When Medicare developed its national coverage determination for clinical diagnostic laboratory services, Medicare didn't cover prostate cancer screening. Now it does.

Problem: Medicare didn't remove V76.44 (Special screening for malignant neoplasms; prostate) from the list of noncovered screening codes.
