Category III Codes May Contain Global Days

Question: What are the surgical global days for the IDET procedure (0062T-0063T)?

Answer: You won't find global days for 0062T (Percutaneous intradiskal annuloplasty, any method, unilateral or bilateral including fluoroscopic guidance; single level) or +0063T (... one or more additional levels [list separately in addition to 0062T for primary procedure]).

CPT has not established global days for any of the Category III codes because no relative value units are associated with them yet.

Best bet: Contact your payer to determine how many global days it assigns to each specific Category III code.
