In the September 2000 issue of Pediatric Coding Alert, the article Get Proper Reimbursement for Multiple Nebulizer Treatments mistakenly said, If a child needs repeat treatment because the first didnt work, you should use 94960 again with modifier -76 (repeat procedure by same physician). The article should have said, If a child needs repeat treatment because the first didnt work, you should use CPT 94640 again with modifier -76 (repeat procedure by same physician).
